The guys at Deezer have uploaded an open source package to Github – and it’s pretty cool! It’s an audio splitting tool using AI tech. They ostensibly developed it for research purposes. I have not yet come across an automated tool that delivers this level of quality. There are still artifacts to be heard but nothing an experienced mixer shouldn’t be able to handle. I’d be excited to see this turned into a VST or a standalone application. Have at it!
